As part of the Arts for All Residency Grant Program, arts provider Ballroom Madness and McKinley Elementary School in Santa Monica-Malibu USD are involved in a beautiful mash-up.

The California Arts Council announced over $650,000 in grants to arts organizations statewide as part of its “Creating Public Value” grant program.  Nineteen organizations in Los Angeles County will receive a total of $168,000 in support.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission is now welcoming applications for the 2013/14 Organizational Grant Program (OGP).  OGP provides financial support to assist and strengthen nonprofit arts organizations to provide quality arts services to enrich the lives of Los Angeles County residents.

The Arts Council for Long Beach was recently awarded $150,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to create the “A LOT” series, in which dance, music, theatre, and spoken word by Long Beach artists will take place in vacant lots throughout the city.

Four K-12 schools in the Los Angeles area received grants totaling $5,000 to support continuation of arts education for their students.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission announced $4.1 million in grants to 175 arts groups throughout the county last week.

Grants range in size from $3,500 to $223,700 and fund organizations in forty-one of Los Angeles County’s 88 municipalities.  Through this program, funding from the Arts Commission will serve an estimated ten million people through July 2013.

The James Irvine Foundation announced grants totaling $855,000 to six Los Angeles County arts organizations whose work “hold[s] significant promise for the future of the arts nationwide, particularly as they lead the way in exploring how best to adapt to demographic and technological shifts.”

The California Community Foundation (CCF) announced grants of $402,000 to greater Los Angeles nonprofit arts organizations today as part of a $5.1 million investment in the community.

Four Los Angeles creative placemaking projects have received $1.5 million in grants from ArtPlace, a coalition of private arts funders, government agencies, and banks.  The projects are funded among forty-seven new awards representing $15.4 million in arts funding and represent nearly 10% of ArtPlace’s giving this year.
