Part I - Facilitating High Quality Experiences
This workshop will focus on how to design and facilitate professional
development experiences that use best practices in teaching and learning to
equip participants to advance student achievement in and through the arts.

Participants will:
. review research on best practices in teaching and learning
. experience and unpack the facilitation of a dance-based PD experience that
-  has clear outcomes and has been designed backwards
-  models teaching that is student-centered and inquiry-driven
-  engages participants in reflection
-  guides participants to apply their learning to their practice
-  invites participants to collaborate as learners, creators, and
practitioners 
. consider how to strengthen the design and instruction of their own PD
experiences.

4:00-5:00pm
Part 2 - Application Workshop
This workshop will address how to apply for the online directory Programs for
Educators and how to present a compelling application.
