Position Overview
The Studio Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the studio, supporting project execution, and maintaining an organized, efficient, and creative workspace. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across administration, facilities, and project coordination. An ideal candidate will be an organized and motivated individual who will work alongside the team in many aspects of day-to-day operations. Reliability and attention to detail are critical, along with an interest in the arts and a professional demeanor.

Operations Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Studio Administration and Communication
– Oversee daily studio operations, including managing email correspondence and welcoming visitors.
– Maintain office and studio supplies, ensuring organization and efficiency.
– Manage the team calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
– Organize and maintain both physical and digital project files for easy accessibility.
– Assist in drafting and preparing company documents, contracts, reports, and marketing materials using approved templates.
– Support the leadership team in implementing efficient communication workflows across projects and teams.

Studio & Facilities Management
– Oversee studio amenities, including internet, security, maintenance, and workspace organization.
– Coordinate the purchase, transfer, and delivery of materials, tools, and studio equipment.
– Maintain inventory of studio supplies and ensure timely restocking of essential items.
– Oversee health and safety compliance, keeping manuals, safety notices, and training records up to date.

Project & Operations Support
– Assist project managers and artists with logistics, research, and studio-based needs.
– Support the execution of projects by facilitating scheduling, material acquisition, and vendor coordination.
– Prepare project estimates, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with the project team.
– Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
– Oversee shipping and logistics for artwork, materials, and documentation.
– Assist in organizing events, workshops, presentations, and other public engagement events.

Minimum Required Qualifications
A valid California driver’s license is required.
Light travel for work will be occasionally required.

Qualifications
– Previous studio management, operations, or project coordination experience is preferred.
– Proficient on Mac, Google Calendar & Drive, and Microsoft suite required.
– Fluency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is required.
– A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
– Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position with benefits and paid annual leave. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Salary: $65,000 – $70,000, annually
